Shiny

So it's out with the old…

(And by 'old' I mean 'skanky, sticky, decrepit')

… and in with the new!

(By which I mean 'shiny, pretty, awesome!')

I was amused to see a list of things not to do with your new oven in the manual, though (and no, of course I haven't actually read it - I skimmed it and looked at the pictures). One 'don't' in particular caught my eye, mainly because it was the only one the manufacturer had deemed sufficiently dangerous to be worthy of an illustration.

*Phew!* I am glad they mentioned that; there's nothing I think about more after getting in from the cold than jumping up on the hob and toasting my buns.

  1. I saw the photo of the first oven and I thought it was the new one! It actually looks new when looking at it through by photo. But now the NEW one....that is pretty darned awesome. VERY shiny.

And the photo advising people to not sit on the oven made me laugh out loud. Makes you wonder if someone tried that and that's why they have to warn others. Jeez.

  2. To be honest, I prefer the styling of the old one... but that's just me.

Having one that works is the important thing.

Glad you caught that warning before its too late. ;-)

  3. Uuuuuuuuuh shiny!

Love it but why are there two doors? We only get one over here.

I once put my hand flat on a very hot stove - they should have showed that too because ouch!

  4. Yeah... why the two doors? Same as Pete, we only get one here... and a drawer underneath to put the pots and pans.

  5. I would assume there is a separate Griller from the oven..and I agree, I wouldn't know which was new or old! They both look pretty good to me.

So lucky they have those warnings as well, they just need them for washing machines as well...no good can come from sitting on a washing machine that is going. All the vibrating! terrible..

  6. Tara - Believe me, up close, the old one was NASTY.

Ponita - You can have the old one if you like!

Cyberpete and Ponita - The Tall Red Head is correct! The top one is a grill/mini oven, with the main oven below.

The Tall Red Head - As long as your washing machine doesn't get scorching hot you're good to go!!

  7. Ahhhh... Prety oven. Which reminds me: We need a new one, too.

Seeing as you shouldn't jump onto the hob to keep your buns warm, perhaps I could assist in some way?

  8. Inexplicable Device - You could've had my old one, but Ponita appears to have dibs on it.

And thank you for your kind offer - BUT HANDS OFF THE BUNS!

  9. Well. There's no need to get all hot and cross about it.
